Sailing trip to Texel

September 23 to 25, 2022

Friday morning we sail along the Dutch coast towards the Wadden Islands with Texel as destination. At the head of North Holland we cross the Schulpengat at the safe water mark in the direction of the Marsdiep with Noorderhaaks on the port side. After a sailing trip of about 12 hours we arrive on Texel in the evening. Here we have the opportunity to have a nice meal and drink. Ever heard of a Texel Skuumkoppe? The island can be explored on Saturdays. An idea is, for example, to rent bicycles and visit the Texel lighthouse. Sunday morning the lines and springs will be released again and another beautiful sailing trip to Scheveningen lies ahead of us. Short and sweet! An adventure to look forward already. Will you join us?

Noorderhaaks, also known as raging sphere, is known as a habitat for birds and seals. If everything goes well, we can go spot seals with the rubber boat.

Because sailing vessel TX-51 originates from Texel, it is always special to moor in the harbour of Oudeschild. Here we meet fishing vessels from Texel. Old fishermen like it when "their" vessel comes home again.
